ed's stampede
Prepare for a spectacular sight as ED the elephant - a giant puppet made from cloth, and metal invades downtown Cranbrook during the Ed Fest Stampede. This impressive puppet will roam the streets, engaging with passersby through playful interactions and performing a variety of tricks and stunts.
A group of circus performers will accompany ED through the streets and will entertain the crowd with comedic dialogues and skits, creating a lively and immersive experience. This enchanting performance, reminiscent of those seen at carnivals and festivals, promises to delight both children and adults alike. Don’t miss this whimsical and interactive highlight of Ed Fest, bringing joy and wonder to all who attend!

interconnected iv
“Interconnected IV” is a sculpture project that is interactive. 90 12” acrylic panels will form 15 cubes that can be stacked in different ways to connect the specimens on them. They also light up!
Kristin Teetaert is a multidisciplinary maker and art educator who currently resides in Cranbrook, BC, situated in the unceded homeland of the Ktunaxa Nation. She has her BFA in Developmental Art/Community Based Art Education from the University of Calgary, 2006. She is currently Executive Director of Cranbrook Arts as well as a creative facilitator/teacher of art programs for both children and adults.

Trunks on Trees

Erica Konrad is a visual artist, living, working, and creating on the traditional unneeded territory of the Ktunaxa, Snit (lakes), and Smilax (Okanagan) nations, in nelson, British Columbia, Canada. Her background is a formal University education in Environmental Studies, which has laid the foundation for her intense inspiration from the natural world.
Konrad is mostly self taught, working in oil, acrylic, and encaustic, having attended international workshops on encaustic and local and provincial courses on painting. She has taught children earth art, teenagers painting, and adults encaustic.
When not painting, she is engaged in supporting other artists. Konrad founded and runs The Narrows Art Retreat - an artist residency centre, focussing on artist residencies, workshops, and gatherings to promote and encourage artistic innovation.
